Educator Certification
The Santa Rosa County School District Certification office works with applicants to become certified teachers as well as our current teachers to maintain their teaching certificates. We are happy to assist with and discuss options for becoming eligible to teach and provide information and guidance. We work closely with the Florida Department of Education to ensure our teachers are in compliance with Florida laws regarding Certification. However, the educator is responsible for application submission, monitoring validity dates, earning renewal credits during the validity of certificate, completing requirements per your Status of Statement of Eligibility and payment of applicable fees.
Important Changes at the FLDOE
The Florida Dept. of Education implemented a new online Educator Certification System known as VERSA on November 20, 2017. All Educators and applicants must complete the onboarding process to create new login credentials before renewing or adding an area to their certificate. https://flcertify.fldoe.org/datamart/login.do
